"It's easier said than done!"

"It's easier said than done!"

I for one, was never really fond of this phrase. And yet, every now and then, I would find
someone near me using this phrase. May be over the years, even I realized the truth behind
this phrase. But I very conveniently turned a blind eye towards this little "self realization".

Finally, when I could ignore it no longer, I set upon myself, the herculean task of proving this phrase wrong. At first I tried real hard to prove that this phrase does not always hold true; or at least for me it doesn't. But alas! this wasn't to be.

Soon I found myself blaming circumstances or people for the things that I said I WOULD DO
but JUST COULDN'T.

EASIER SAID THAN DONE????

For days together I wondered how could this be?

And then, one fine day I had the answer to my misery. Today, in this fast-paced world, we are so afraid of failing, that at the first sight of a road block or stumble, we start looking for a scapegoat, whom we can blame for our failure (be it a person or circumstance). And once we have found our scapegoat, do we really care if we manage to finish the task we had set out for? Don't think so...

Knowingly or unknowingly, I've become a part of the same vicious cycle.

So finally, today, though I'm still not that fond of this phrase, but I at least have the courage to accept the fact that YES, sometimes it is indeed easier said than done!!

Kyun?

Bold
फिर क्यूँ खुदा के नाम पर हर ज़ुल्म होता है?
क्यूँ इस मज़हब की लडाई में सका नाम बदनाम होता है?

My Quote : Present

" We spend our whole life awaiting Our FUTURE,
Without realizing that in the process,
We're missing out on Our PRESENT "

Memories from School Dayzz......

For a period of 7 Yrs, me and my sister studied at DAV Janak Puri (Delhi) (1991 - 1998).

It was here that we were first introduced to Music/ Singing (actually more like our Music teacher - Kavita Kaushik - MADE us learn Music and then TOOK us for all possible music competitions.......).

Frankly speaking, back then we never quite enjoyed being dragged to all these competitions coz it meant we couldn't participate in anything else.
But after all these years all I want to do is THANK her.

It's all because of her training that today we have a decent singing voice (coz apparently - as per our father - before her training, our voice was as bad donkeys braying )

All thanks to her that our love for music over these years has only grown...

Of all the songs that she taught us, my personal favourite till date remains a Ghazal which she taught us for some inter-school competition...

Here are the Lyrics for the same...

Tum chale aao,
Raasta dekhte hain abhi,
Raaste par, nigaahen lag rahi hain abhi,
Tum chale aao,
Raasta dekhte hain abhi...

Shama jalti hai parwane jalane ke liye,
Tum kahaan ho, chale aao manane ke liye,
Tum chale aao,
Raasta dekhte hain abhi...

Mere mehboob maine tumko chaha kitna,
Duniya waalon ne mere pyaar ko badnaam kiya,
Tum chale aao,
Raasta dekhte hain abhi...
